Cross at The Head
This wooden
cross sits on the furthermost northerly point in Ireland, Malin Head and
overlooks the wild Atlantic Ocean. There is nothing but sea from here to
Newfoundland and Canada to the West, Iceland to the North so you can
understand why this is a place for calm reflection and wonder.
The cross was erected some years ago in memory of a young French man who
drowned off this headland. The cross is no longer there due to being destroyed
by the weather.
